This may be waaaay to early, bit I'm going to jump the gun and just get started on fall.
I'm ready for it. The last watermelon I bought was crap, it's time for pumpkin.
It's even raining here and that just makes me want spicy tea and slow simmering stews.
Sine fall is all I can think about I complied a nice fall menu for your weekend:
Let's start off with this roasted cauliflower soup with dill whipped cream. It's rather heavy on the dairy for my stomach, but I'm thinking I can substitute and still get some great flavor.

Next I think some sage and cinnamon chicken would be just fine to kick start fall. Oh, it's on sweet potato 'pasta' perfectly harvesty in my book.
We need something to wash it all down, and I know alcohol is messing with me too, but I'm willing to endure for a nice glass of this:

Mmmm hmmmm. Sparkling apple sangria. I'm merely pretending it's fall, and it may be raining, but it's still dang hot. This will cool me off all the while crisp apples will whisk me away to fall.
Happy weekend! Hope you get some puddles to reflect in too!

Oooh, hmm, I haven't even bought a watermelon this year! I'm so behind. What if everyone makes the switch to fall, and I get stuck in summer? I won't complain:)
Dang, that sangria looks good.
You fooled me with the sweet potato pasta. Girl, that ain't pasta. But you've got me thinking.... and now I'm thinking sweet potato gnocchi might be making an appearance in my kitchen someday soon!
I want to swim in that sangria.
I'd eat that sweet potato gnocchi. What are you going to use a sauce? Uggh, I want that now.
Yeah, ribbons of sweet potato does not make a pasta make.
Sage and cinnamon chicken???? Wow!!!! I am SOOO ready for Fall. It's been in the 90's instead of the 100's the last week so I am hoping Fall is around the corner. Yum!!
