This raw thing is getting good.
I'm for sure not ready to adopt an all or nothing principal to my life. But I'm getting better, and feeling better for that matter.
I found a new product too that I think I can use here and there to curb my cracker craving.
Breakfast:

Looks super freaky. It's cashew milk, sweetened with a little honey (yes I know that's not "raw" but I'm not strict like that), chia seed, and instant espresso (also surely not raw). Plus a mango and green tea.
This really helped with to keep my energy up, my caffeine fix quenched, and full through my work out.
I had a coconut water during and after my workout. I really notice a difference between that and just plain water. It took some time to get used to the taste, but now I enjoy it.

Lunch was really, really good. Not just for a raw meal, but it was just good.
I found these crackers at Whole Foods, and honestly I bought them because they were the cheapest in their class of raw crackers. Turns out they are good too.
I've made crackers like these before, but these have a nice herbiness to them that mine lacked. A smear of avocado and I was sold.
I made some raw lettuce wraps and they were fantastic if I do say so myself.
Raw Lettuce Wraps
4-6 large Boston Lettuce Leaves
2 cups baby bella mushrooms, diced
1 carrot, diced
1/4 cup red onion, diced
1/2 yellow pepper, diced
1/2 jalapeno, seeded and diced
2 Tablespoon cilantro, chopped fine
2 Tablespoons Braggs Liquid Aminos
cracked black pepper to taste
Place everything in a bowl and toss to combine.
Let it sit at room temperature and stir every once in a while.
It will let off a lot of liquid and soak up a lot of flavor.
Spoon the mushroom filling in to the lettuce leaves and enjoy.
These were just right. Not too much, I was satisfied for lunch. I think the avocado and the crackers really made this meal.
The rest of my day was simple: a grapefruit for late snack and this delicious plate for dinner.
Other good raw stuff last week:
- These look amazing. Sort of like the ones I made for our trip, but I just think hers sound so yummy. On a little tangent - I can't believe I haven't found Shutterbean sooner! I found her when I was searching for cleanse info and have been blog stalking ever since. If there was one person who eats most like I do I think it's her.
- I don't really hold close to my raw thing when drinking liquids. I don't know why, but I'm not too concerned at this point.
- I was doing research on Raw protein powder, then I check my Facebook and Maranda's friendly baking group is ready to bake these. I think I'll put the powder aside and make some dreamy eclairs instead.
I think avocados are the bacon of raw food. They make everything better. What are your thoughts?

I'm with you on avocados. I can't believe I used to be disgusted by their taste - they're so dang good ! Those crackers look pretty good too.
Now you've got me thinking about bacon again, hurrumph:)
