Goodness

I was just starting to feel lame about my space in between posting.

I was starting to pressure myself about scheduling way too much for myself.

Then I opened up this post by Pugly Pixel and all the ridiculous nonsense I was putting on myself melted away.

I think true intensions are worth far more than forced words.

There's so many things I have to do each day, but this is the one place that's just goodness.

And I'm sorry, some people may think that adding bacon to EVERYTHING is over rated and forced, but I'm hear to say that bacon in EVERYTHING most certainly is . . . . goodness.

My husband called me from work last week and this was our conversation:

Husband: "What do you think about bacon rice crispy treats?"

Me: "I don't think I've ever thought about bacon rice crispy treats, but now I am."

Husband: "We have to make them this weekend. Ok? We have to try it."

Me: "Ok. WE will make them."

It was urgent. The need to make bacon rice crispy treats.

So besides my husband using the term 'we' quite loosely, this conversation was pure genius.

The simplicity of a rice crispy treat is what makes it classic. Bacon, well is bacon. It's salty fatty perfection. How could this be wrong?

Straight out of the bowl, still warm, these weren't the genius I was expecting. However, the next day after the bacon settled into the dreamy marshmallow cream, the bacon becomes a perfect accompaniment.

The slightly smokey richness is a nice play off the buttery sweet treat. Crunchy bacon pieces are that intoxicating ping of saltiness that makes people put bacon in everything.

So cheers to salty delicious pork, and posts from whenever they come. May your desserts be sprinkled with bacon, and your upcoming posts be unforced. That's where the goodness is.

Heehee, here they are! And they look tasty:)

Being that I've never been a rice krispy treat fan, that's saying quite a lot. But your intentions ring true with me, and hence "Add bacon to everything" I say!

:)
