Friday Random: Get Out and Go

So I had another thought for an ongoing feature post.

There's a lot of times I wish I had an excuse to share something very random, sometimes food related, on this little blog. A lot of times it doesn't fit in to my ramblings and I think it best to just let it go.

But, if I created a neat little home for all this randomness it would be ok. It would fit and make sense in all of it's nonsensical-ness.

This Friday I even have a theme to wrap it all together with a neat little bow.

Today is all about getting out (pretty much because I got to go on a little trip last weekend).

                    



Let's talk about one of the hippest, cleanest, loveliest motel ever. The Motor Lodge is in Prescott AZ and if you ever get a chance to go there, you must.



                      

Beer upon check in, fire places in the room, bikes for general use, absolutely gorgeous quirky decor, and fresh baked cookies upon check out. This place was perfectly perfect.

Notable places to eat in Prescott: Brown Bag Burger - great HUGE burgers with crispy creamy fries, Adirondak cafe - nothing over the top, just a nice simple breakfast, St. Michaels Hotel Coffee Shop (the little one next to the restaurant - it's just a room with a girl slinging good coffee and yummy pastries.

There were lot's of places I would have liked to eat given more time: Firehouse Kitchen, The Raven Cafe, and The Lone Spur Cafe for breakfast. Next time!

• What are your thoughts on this lid? I love mason jar drinking, but I'm not sure about that price (or the hot fingers factor).
