Feeling the Love

If my food blogging habit has taught me anything, it is that there are still some genuinely nice people left in the world. Thank God! Sometimes this season can bring out the worst in folks and I just want move to nowhere. From a family members house being robbed, to just plain old rudeness on the streets, AARRRGH. This post was much needed.

A friend of mine "introduced" me and Erica of First Make a Roux on Facebook knowing that we both had food blogs. It's been so fun reading her blog and chatting about bits and pieces. Her mamere even has the same pretty pink and gray roses on her dinner ware. She tagged me for this wonderful prize and this is it:

"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!

Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

So here's my list of other food bloggers who I frequent and feel have made wonderful connections.

  • Sophie - Flour Arrangements
  • Trisha - The Zest
  • Nazarina - Giddy Gastronome
  • Shauna - Gluten Free Girl (I have not personally connected with Shauna, but her stories are so personal, and she is very uplifting when it comes to dealing with letting go of certain foods and being positive about what you can eat)
I know there are many more out there, but these sort of top my list and I have much baking to get to. I'm starting to develop a theory that food bloggers are some of the nicest people out there. Maybe more folks should get into the kitchen, make some food, take a picture of it, then write about it on the internet. Perhaps the world would be a much friendlier place.

Thank you all my foodblog friends!

Thank you so much! That was so sweet of you, I feel honored. I really like the tone of this award, it seems so sincere. I know what you mean about folks not being so friendly, I just got back from NYC and I totally got that unfriendly vibe there lol. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
