So Very Full

It's been very quiet here, well, actually it's gotten one Little Bird louder.

Our newest wee-one came a bit early and I'm so glad. His timing could not have been better; Cambrell was home from work, number one was home on fall break and I was getting big. His name is Ranon Vere and he is beautiful.

Everyone is adjusting nicely and the kids are so excited. Even my little girl who loves to be the one being touched and cuddled is completely OK.

We always comment how life changed so much with the first, then when the second came and we weren't sure what to expect it all seemed so natural. Then with three we thought what are we thinking? How is this gonna work? It just does. It's like he was meant to be here all along.

With all that goes on in the world and with finances being cramped, I still feel so very full and blessed. I sit among all the noise of the kids and feel complete. I am also so very fortunate to have good friends and family to feed us during this time. We are not running on empty around here. This is a list of what my mom and my friend Jamie have nourished us with:

Roasted chicken with cheese potatoes and green beans
Pumpkin curry soup
minestrone soup
roasted pork loin and sweet potatoes
my favorite muffins
Irish stew
Spinach and prosciutto lasagna
Chili

All of this, plus my freezer stock pile has been so wonderful. I know I can't get through having a kid with out at least one of my husbands awesome PB&J's, but with that menu I'm holding out.

While I love this brief opportunity to just sit and stare and my Little Bird, I can't wait to get back into the kitchen. I have a list of things that are on my culinary agenda for when I get some time. I'll keep you all posted as soon as the heat is back on my burner, until then I'm just soaking in and feeling full.
